Life is filled with too much negativity and failure. Do you know why? Because those are the only things people talk about and the only topics covered in the news.
I am sure you heard the saying “Life is what you make it.” This is so true.
Throughout my career and everyday living, I have changed the dialogue.
Start each meeting, each phone conversation, each greeting by sharing your wins and encouraging others to do the same.
Celebrating wins is crucial- its boosts morale, fuels motivation, and cultivates a positive environment where achievements are acknowledged, and teams thrive!
When I pick my kids up from school, I started asking them, “What was one thing good that happened today?” This has turned out great. I know they will tell me the bad or what was challenging, but I don’t always here what they enjoyed or what went well in their day. I continued this process for a couple of weeks, one day my daughter surprised me. After responding to my question of “What was something good that happened today?”, my daughter said, “Mom, what is one good thing that happened in your day today.” Proud momma moment.
But you get my point. Practicing positive thinking with yourself and others, leads to positive teams, environments, friends and family members.
It is your turn. Be the person that cultivates the positive conversations in your group or team.
